Water-bound path covers

Many authorities and institutions are concerned as to how they can construct the paths to be replaced cost-effectively and in an eco-friendly manner. Many paths are water impermeable or sealed already, and frequently they cannot be reconstructed cost-effectively.

HanseGrand offers fine-grained covers for walking surfaces and squares as well as medium-grained covers (HanseGrand Robust) for bicycle paths and traffic routes. Robust water-bound path covers consist of a mineral product with a grain composition from zero to eleven millimetres – a very well graded aggregate. Thus, this mixture corresponds to the grain size distribution of a bituminous road surface. By using different mineral raw materials, an unusually high bonding in the material structure is achieved without causing agglutination or slab formation. For this reason, the cover layer remains easy to repair even after long service life.

High stability and little sensitivity to frost!

Paths with additional cover layers made of robust materials ensure a distinctly better permanent behaviour compared to traditional construction methods with aggregates of 0/32 mm. Thus, they are a useful addition, even for conventional construction of forest and agricultural roads. A better economic efficiency of the material input is achieved. The outlay for upkeep and thus the costs involved are minimised.

Water-bound path covers from HanseGrand provide not only safe and load-bearing traffic routes, but can also prettify leisure time activities, such as stable boule areas.
